KODE5 Spain day one wrapup

The first day of KODE5 Spain ended at last – Just five hours later than scheduled.

KODE5 Spain started with all organizers worst nightmare, delays. This was due to 10 PC’s which apparently was out of service, meaning only four matches could be played, out of the five scheduled. At the end of the day, this extended the day with more than five hours, than scheduled.

All of the favorites are through. Spanish teams Ledpc and x6tence did however win their matches against k23 and DTS.chatrix, taking advantage of the home court to secure top spot in their groups. Also mTw and Crack Clan claimed top spot in their groups. Top two from each group advance to the upper-bracket, while all third placing teams will drop in to lower-bracket. A bit untraditional tournament structure, but never the less, the structure KODE5 Spain picked.

Teams through to the lower-bracket will face the losers of the matches above. Due to the untraditional bracket-tree, we will not have a bracket for the playoffs.
